The platform highlights emerging opportunities across the evolving energy landscape—encouraging young people to be part of the solution. Through engaging and accessible content, My Energy Future aims to excite, stimulate, and bring the future of energy to life in a personal and meaningful way.

Building on this initiative, the My Energy Future (MEF) LIVE STEM Challenge is an immersive extension of the platform, hosted as part of OPITO Global conferences. These live challenges bring the experience directly to conference delegates, creating a dynamic bridge between industry and emerging talent. Participants are given the opportunity to showcase their STEM-based projects, ideas, and innovations in front of a global audience, while engaging directly with industry experts, mentors, and leaders.

The MEF LIVE STEM Challenge not only celebrates creativity and problem-solving but also fosters real-world exposure, collaboration, and dialogue between young innovators and the energy sector. It provides a unique platform for participants to gain insights, receive feedback, and explore future career pathways within the industry.

OPITO has successfully hosted similar initiatives globally. In 2025, the Hydrogen Challenge Regional Final was held in Abu Dhabi, showcasing forward-thinking solutions in clean energy. Earlier, in 2023, OPITO partnered with Petrosains to deliver The Petrosains RBTX Challenge, engaging students in robotics and technology-driven problem-solving.

Through the MEF LIVE STEM Challenge, OPITO continues its commitment to nurturing future talent, strengthening industry connections, and inspiring the next generation to play an active role in shaping the energy transition.
