Ahmad Haniff Jamaludin is currently the Deputy Director in the Financial Inclusion Department, Bank Negara Malaysia (the Central Bank of Malaysia), overseeing the development of policies and strategies on access to financing and financial education/advisory for MSMEs/strategic sectors. He holds a Master of International Economics and Finance degree from the University of Queensland, Australia; a BSc in Finance and Accounting from the University of Salford, UK; and a Certificate in Islamic Banking and Finance Law, International Islamic University, Malaysia. He has extensive experience in financial inclusion and SME financing areas, and the regulation of banking institutions and Development Financial Institutions in Malaysia. Since 2023, Ahmad Haniff also co-chairs the SME Focus Group under the Joint Committee on Climate Change (JC3).

Dr Wong Wai Khuen is a senior officer in the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic (PTD) Service Corps, a premier institution responsible for shaping Malaysia’s national policies and managing its administrative and diplomatic affairs. With two decades of service, he has developed deep expertise in navigating complex societal challenges, including healthcare, climate change, human rights, labour, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At present, Dr Wong serves in the Industry ESG Division of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), where he spearheads initiatives to embed ESG practices across Malaysia’s manufacturing sector. His portfolio covers industrial decarbonisation initiatives, carbon pricing mechanisms, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory enhancement, and response measure to global climate and trade policies - critical areas that underpin Malaysia’s transition towards a net-zero future.

Beyond government service, Dr Wong collaborates actively with leading academics and international think tanks. He has co-authored ESG-related research and worked with the Value Research Center in Kyoto to develop an innovative corporate ESG measurement methodology. This work complements the Value Model—a framework formalised by Doshisha University to help organisations measure and manage stakeholder value through structured, objective ESG and sustainability indicators.

Mr. Leong See Meng ("See Meng") has extensive experience in banking and fiduciary management of financial institutions. He is currently the Director – Origination & Listings at Bursa Malaysia Berhad.

See Meng is an accountant by training and banker by profession. He read Accounting at RMIT University, Melbourne and graduated with distinction in 1992 after which he completed the CPA programme with CPA Australia. in 2024, he was accorded the Certified Expert in Sustainable Finance accreditation by The Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.

He started in 1993 with Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation and has since worked for leading financial institutions including Citibank and Deutsche Bank. He was also the Chief Executive Officer at National Bank of Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Bursa Malaysia Berhad, he was the Chief Business Officer at Cagamas Berhad.

His career has brought him a wealth of knowledge and experience in corporate finance, fixed income, securitization, and sustainable finance. Apart from his current remit, his passion now focusses on the sustainability space where he actively looks into new opportunities, in particular, in the green sector to bring companies and products into the capital markets.

Azizi Mustafa is an engineer by qualification with over 30 years of experience across multiple industries and disciplines. He earned his degree in Electrical Engineering from Seattle University, USA, and began his career with Petronas.

He later ventured into the manufacturing industry, serving in various engineering capacities with Advanced Micro Devices in Malaysia and Santa Clara, California, as well as Komag (USA), Sarawak.

Building on his technical foundation, Azizi transitioned into the financial services industry, where he held leadership roles in both the insurance and banking sectors. His career journey includes stints with Malaysia National Insurance Bhd, Citibank Bhd, and Kuwait Finance House Malaysia.

Today, Azizi serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad (MIDF), bringing a unique blend of engineering expertise and financial leadership to drive the organisation’s growth and transformation.

A corporate leader with over thirty years of executive experience in the paper and paper packaging industry, offering deep expertise in operational excellence, strategic planning, and sustainable business growth. Currently serving as the Group Managing Director of Muda Holdings Berhad, with a key role in driving the company’s strategic transformation into one of Malaysia’s leading integrated paper manufacturers and recycling enterprises, with operations of two major paper mills, seven corrugated carton plants and one paper-based food packaging plant across six states in Peninsular Malaysia, and achieving a turnover of between RM1.46 billion to RM1.78 billion over the past three years.

Edey Suresh is an enterprise sustainability strategist, leader and seasoned practitioner. Edey serves as a Board Director at Large for the UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei (UNGCMYB), the official local network of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).

Edey has advised organisations from various sectors on embedding sustainability into core business functions. Additionally, he was also the Founding Chairperson of Johor Collective Media (JOCOM) and is the current Chairperson of the Social Hero Foundation, an umbrella organization uniting over 110 NGOs and NGIs to drive impactful environmental and social initiatives. His contributions to major sustainability initiatives, including the UNFCCC Asia Pacific Climate Week (APCW) 2023, underscore his role in shaping the sustainability agenda at both national and international levels.

He received his early education in English College, Johor Bahru and he holds an executive certificate in Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School as well as a Masters in Business Administration (MBA)

Roy Heong holds the role of Chief Sustainability Officer at Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad (ABMB). He is responsible for the sustainability goals and practices of the Bank, including the successful transition of ABMB’s customers to more sustainable business practices. Holistically, Roy oversees the bank’s Net Zero commitments and sustainable business growth, whilst ensuring a strong governance culture within ABMB.

Strategic partnership and collaborations play a key role in delivering impactful programmes for clients in this space. The bank’s Sustainability Impact Program (SIP) provides Advocacy, Advisory and Answers in the form of sustainable financing and green tech solutions for SME businesses and publicly listed companies. SIP enables the transition of these companies to ensure they become more resilient and competitive in the supply chain as part of a low-carbon economy.

Roy’s prior experiences at Citibank, OCBC, and Inti University fuels his collaborative approach to drive client success and long-term growth.

Teresa Wong is the Chief Risk Officer for Property & Casualty and Head of Sustainability Risk at Zurich Malaysia. With over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, she has held roles in leading Zurich Malaysia’s sustainability risk strategy, championing climate resilience through insurance innovation and ESG integration. With deep expertise in risk management and a strong track record in driving net-zero initiatives, she brings valuable perspective on how SMEs can navigate climate-related risks. Her experience in moderating climate finance and transition dialogues makes her an ideal facilitator for this panel on SME climate challenges and catalysts.

Syed Kamal Muzaffa is the Director of the Sustainability Division at the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), where he leads national efforts to embed ESG principles across industries. His work is especially impactful in supporting SMEs, having spearheaded initiatives like the Domestic Investment Accelerator Fund (DIAF–ESG), which provides financial incentives and advisory support to help smaller enterprises adopt sustainable practices. Through targeted outreach, policy dialogues, and capacity-building engagements, He regularly leads workshops, policy dialogues, and roadshows to raise awareness and build capacity among local businesses, especially SMEs on sustainability compliance, carbon reduction strategies, and global competitiveness. His leadership reflects a strong commitment to enabling Malaysian enterprises to thrive in a low-carbon economy.

Azmir started his career in CIMB under “The Complete Banker” management trainee programme in 2009. Currently, he is the Regional Head of Sustainable Finance, Group Commercial and Transaction Banking. Prior to that, he had a diverse exposure of more than a decade with CIMB Corporate Banking, CIMB Private Banking as well as CIMB Islamic.

Azmir had obtained his certificate of Certified Expert in Sustainable Finance in 2021 and attended “Leading the Sustainability Transformation in Banking” course in 2022 both by the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. He was instrumental in structuring the CIMB GreenBizReady proposition that was launched in 2021, an award-winning one-stop sustainability solution for companies by leveraging on unique offerings of various associates (including SMECorp, MGTC, MATRADE, and MIDA), Sustainability-Linked Financing for SMEs as well as the recently launched ESG Simplified Playbook for SMEs.

Azmir is a Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) by the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA). He had also obtained his certificate of Certified Qualification in Islamic Finance (CQIF) from the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM) as well as Islamic Financial Planner (IFP) from Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM).

Dr. John Loh is a sustainability technologist and entrepreneur recognized for pioneering ESG integration and digital transformation among SMEs in Southeast Asia. As Sustainability & Circular Economy Chairman of SAMENTA (Malaysia’s oldest SME association), he champions circular economy adoption, guiding SMEs to align with frameworks such as GRI and Bursa Malaysia SRG 3.0.

Appointed as an Energy Industries Council (EIC) Sustainability Ambassador, Dr. Loh plays a key role in promoting responsible business practices and low-carbon strategies across the regional energy ecosystem. He is also a GRI Certified Professional and a sought-after international speaker who has addressed high-level platforms including the Bank Negara Malaysia Sasana Symposium, United Nations Global Compact Malaysia & Brunei, CEO Forum, MPRC OGSE Blueprint engagements, and leading university symposiums.

Dr. Loh has been at the forefront of pioneering sustainability practices through Emerging EPC Sdn Bhd, which has been recognized as a leading SME in Malaysia’s energy and manufacturing sector for sustainability reporting, digital transformation, and ESG-aligned fabrication processes.

In 2025, he represented Malaysia internationally at the ASEAN–Korea Sustainable Innovation Talks (Seoul) and the ITB China MICE Meeting Point (Beijing), showcasing how IoT, ERP, and additive manufacturing can accelerate smart manufacturing, ESG practices, and the circular economy.

Harith Ridzuan, also known as Harith Green Carpenter (HGC), specialises in the manufacturing of sustainable lifestyle products. He has been committed to producing eco-friendly wood products since 2012 and has received local & international attention for his commitment to sustainable manufacturing, including Japan’s 2018 Good Design Award and the 2018 Europa Sustainability Award.

Under his wing, Harith’s family-founded business currently manages 5 eco brands and has exported products to over 20 countries. To date, he continues his quest to advocate for Malaysia’s growing mindfulness towards green design, sustainable consumption, and proper management of our local forests.

Chan is an engineer with over 25 years of experience in renewable energy, greenhouse gas mitigation, and project development. Since co-founding Green Lagoon Technology in 2010, Chan has led the company’s transformation into one of Malaysia’s leading renewable energy developers, championing sustainable solutions and currently expanding its portfolio in biogas to bio-compressed natural gas.

Prior to founding Green Lagoon Technology, Chan held senior roles across the renewable energy sector, including as Director of Renewable Energy at Cenergi SEA and Project Director at Biopower Climate Care, where he developed pipelines of biogas and carbon credit projects, structured partnerships, and ensured delivery of technically complex initiatives.

Chan holds a Master of Business Administration (Specialized in Marketing) and Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering which has built his career on bridging technical expertise with commercial strategy. His depth of knowledge in greenhouse gas mitigation, carbon credits, and renewable energy project financing continues to drive Green Lagoon Technology’s mission of delivering impactful, sustainable energy solutions for Malaysia and beyond.

Chow Sheng Wai, Hong Leong Bank's inaugural Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) since January 2024, is a key driver of the bank's sustainability agenda. Drawing on his extensive background in investor relations and corporate finance, he applies his valuable skills to his pioneering role as CSO, focusing on enhancing the bank's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) ratings and performance. His role is critical in integrating sustainability principles into core business operations, from lending to risk management, while ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements and global best practices.

Ahmad Firdaus Kamarazaman currently serves as Deputy Director at the Energy Commission, leading the Energy Conservation and Operation Unit under the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Department. With over 12 years of experience at the Commission, he has played a pivotal role in shaping national strategies for sustainable energy use and policy development.

Firdaus holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia and a Master of Science in Energy Management from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). His previous roles include Special Officer to the Chief Executive Officer, Assistant Director in the Strategic Planning Division and Assistant Director in the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Unit where he contributed to key national initiatives in energy governance and policy.

Ar. Zulkifli Zahari is the President of Malaysia Association of Energy Service Companies (MAESCO) a post he has held since 2008. By profession, Zulkifli is an Architect. He is also a registered Green Building Facilitator and a Registered Electrical Energy Manager with Energy Commission of Malaysia.

Between 2000 – 2007, he was the Project Director for the Malaysian Industrial Energy Efficiency Improvement Project (MIEEIP) conducted by the Malaysian Government in collaboration with UNDP and GeF, and was appointed as a member of the National Steering Committee of The Building Sector Energy Efficiency Project (BSEEP) in 2011 – 2016 as well as the drafting of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act which is being enacted in 2024.

He has over the years developed MAESCO as the main training provider for certified Energy Efficiency related courses including Energy Management, Energy Auditor and Measurement and Verification which is recognised by the Energy Commission.

Zakiah serves as the Chief Sustainability Officer at SME Bank, one of the leading Development Financial Institutions (DFI) in Malaysia.

Her vast experience of more than two (2) decades in financial institutions covering retail, commercial and investment banking as well as Product Development & Strategic Planning has enabled her to chart SME Bank’s sustainability journey where its maiden Sustainability Sukuk Issuance has garnered various accolades amongst others “Best Sustainability Sukuk Award” from The Asset Triple A and “SRI & ESG Deal of the Year Award” from Islamic Finance News. In addition, SME Bank has recently won a Merit Award for its Sustainability Journey from the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and Pacific (ADFIAP).

Recognised for her expertise, Zakiah has been invited to speak at various ESG and sustainability-related events amongst others, the APEC Symposium on Enhancing SMEs Green Competitiveness through Digital Innovation 2025, the ADFIM-AIFC Green Financing Webinar 2024; the APEC Digital Innovation to Facilitate SMEs’ Green Transformation Forum 2023 and the Ethical Finance ASEAN 2022 Summit.

Mohd Sunny Tan is the Deputy Director of Knowledge & Learning (K&L) Division at Public Bank, with over 17 years of experience in banking. His experience includes in various credit roles before transitioning into the field of learning & development.

He started his banking career in branch credit operations, where he eventually became involved in all aspects of credit operations, including customer relationship management and credit processing. His work primarily focused on the retail commercial segment, with extensive experience serving Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

As an internal credit trainer with a strong interest in climate change and sustainable financing, Sunny was later entrusted to embed sustainable financing into the training curriculum. He now leads initiatives on overall sustainability-related training, alongside capacity building in Credit and Digital Essentials.

Mohamed Ridza is the Managing Partner of Mohamed Ridza & Co (MRCO), a boutique law firm internationally recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners Asia. His firm Messrs Mohamed Ridza & Co won the Malaysian ESG law firm of the year award.

Ridza has advised on a wide variety of corporate, telecommunication, financing including mergers and acquisitions, listings of public companies, joint venture and consortium agreements involving foreign and multinational companies, venture capitalist transactions, capital markets and real estate projects.

He is currently the Independent Director of Sime Darby Property Bhd and chairs the Board Risk management Committee. He also sits in the board of OIC Arbitration Center based in Istanbul, Turkey. He was also on the board of Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, KPJ healthcare Berhad, BIMB Investment Management Berhad and Theta Edge Berhad.

Ridza was named as one of world’s leading Islamic Finance lawyers as voted by his peers in the industry, AsiaLaw leading lawyers and the top 100 lawyers in Malaysia by Asia Business Journal.

Angus Salim is the Group Chief Sustainability Officer of RHB. His responsibilities include ensuring sustainability initiatives are fully integrated across all business and functional areas to align with the Group's long-term strategy and establish sustainability as a core pillar of its vision.

Prior to this, he served as the Head, Sustainable Finance, Group Wholesale Banking. In his role as Head of Sustainable Finance, Angus led a team dedicated to supporting the Group and its clients in their sustainability initiatives. Angus has been instrumental in developing and implementing business plans to grow the Group’ s sustainable financial services and focused economic sectors, demonstrating his exceptional expertise and consistently achieving outstanding results.

Angus has over 30 years of experience in financial markets, having held senior leadership positions in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and London. Since joining RHB in 2013, he has led the Financial Markets Team and was appointed Group Treasurer in 2021, and served as Vice President of the Financial Markets Association Malaysia (FMAM).

Angus is a Chartered Fellow from the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) and Fellow Chartered Banker from the Chartered Banker Institute (CBI) and Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB). He is a Certified Expert in Sustainable Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and Certified Green Financing Adviser from the Asian Banking School (ABS).

Sabihah Saleh is currently the Director of Green Growth Division at Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporations (MGTC), an agency under the purview of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES).

She is overseeing the Sustainable Consumption and Production program under MyHijau framework as well as managing the assessment of Green Investment Tax Allowance (GITA) and Green Technology Financing Scheme (GTFS) for the growth of green industry in Malaysia.

Her team also managing capacity building programs in the area of Green Technology and Sustainability that includes courses on Green Technology & Practices, Carbon literacy, Energy and Mobility. She is also overseeing the growth of Green Jobs programs through Green Job Portal and events; and successfully concluded the development of Malaysia’s Green Jobs Guideline in January 2025.

Sabihah has close to 20 years of experience working locally and overseas in Corporate Strategy, Performance Management, Project Management, Business Excellence, Quality Assurance and Manpower Planning. Besides Green Technology industry, her background covers extensively in various industries such as Telecommunications, Business Process Outsourcing and Education. She holds BSc in Statistics and MBA in International Business.

Kamini Sooriamoorthy is the Section Head and Principal Auditor at SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd, with over 20 years of experience in auditing, compliance, and certification across industries including medical devices, food, agriculture, palm oil, and forestry. She has extensive expertise in international standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, ISO 45001, ISO 22000, RSPO, MSPO, PEFC, and ISO 37001, as well as Sustainability and ESG reporting verification standards.

An accomplished leader and trainer, Kamini manages certification schemes, auditor development, and operational performance while also conducting audits and delivering seminars on management system standards. With her strong technical background and hands-on industry experience, she provides valuable insights into quality, compliance, sustainability, and organizational excellence.

Syazly Salleh is a strategic leader in ESG and climate assurance, currently driving sustainability and green certification growth at Bureau Veritas across Malaysia and the region. With over a decade of experience in carbon verification, ESG reporting, and sustainability frameworks, he plays a key role in enabling SMEs and corporates to meet international standards such as ISO 14064, ISO 14067, and VERRA.

He has advised major clients including Petronas, Maybank, and FRIM, and is actively involved in regional capacity building, regulatory engagement, and carbon market development. Syazly is also a key liaison for partnerships with MGTC, BURSA, and global sustainability platforms, positioning him at the forefront of Southeast Asia’s transition to a low-carbon economy.

Mr. Nomis Sim Siang Leng (“Mr. Nomis Sim”) was appointed to the Board of Unitrade as Group Managing Director on 1 September 2021. He is also a member of the Risk Management and Sustainability Committee of the Group. As Group Managing Director, he is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations as well as driving the growth of our Group.

Mr. Nomis Sim holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, University of London, as well as a Master of Science in Analysis, Design & Management of Information Systems from London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London.

Upon graduation, Mr. Nomis Sim was recruited by IBM Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. in April 2000 as an Information Technology (“IT”) Specialist and was involved in programming software for wafer manufacturing machines. Mr. Nomis Sim’s journey with Unitrade started in 2002 when he joined Syarikat Logam Unitrade Sdn. Bhd. (“SLU”) as a Product Development Director. In this capacity, he worked on identifying and sourcing new products to expand the Group’s product offerings. Following Unitrade’s acquisition of Ricwil (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“Ricwil”), he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Ricwil in December 2007. He gradually took on more responsibilities in strategic planning, as well as overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations in Unitrade across all departments. In 2019, he was redesignated to Chief Executive Officer of SLU, a position he presently holds in addition to being Group Managing Director of Unitrade.

Peter CW Tan is a seasoned leader with over 31 years of experience in property management, having overseen residential, hospitality, and commercial retail developments across Peninsular and East Malaysia, with projects exceeding RM 5 billion in value,cementing his reputation as a seasoned and respected leader in the built environment.

Beyond property, Peter is a prominent figure in Malaysia’s Air-Conditioning, Mechanical Ventilation & Refrigeration (ACMV&R) industry. His involvement began in 2002 with his appointment by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) as a committee member tasked with developing the National Occupational Skills Standard (NOSS) for Air-Conditioning, Building Operation Maintenance, and Fire Protection Systems. This early involvement positioned him as one of the pioneers shaping the skills and competency framework for Malaysia’s ACMV&R workforce.

He joined the Malaysian Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Association (MACRA) in 2005 and, from 2009 onwards, played a pivotal role in shaping the industry’s growth. Today, ACMV&R is recognized as the highest-value sub-sector within Malaysia’s Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) discipline.

In recognition of his leadership and foresight, Peter is acknowledged as the Founding President of MARVEX (Malaysia Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration & Ventilation Exhibition), a landmark event launched on 16 March 2022. MARVEX not only marked Malaysia’s first major physical exhibition post-Covid-19 but also firmly established itself as a flagship platform for advancing the HVAC&R industry’s innovation, sustainability, and global collaboration.

He currently serves as President of MACRA (2020–2026) and Chairman of Malaysia Council of Mechanical & Electrical Associations (MCMEA) for Session 2025–2026, continuing his mission to elevate Malaysia’s HVAC&R sector on both national and international fronts.

Madelena Mohamed is currently an Assistant Governor at Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM). As Assistant Governor, Madelena oversees the Strategy and Sustainability Sector, which includes Governor’s Office, legal, strategic communications and sustainability functions.

She has more than 30 years of experience in a broad range of financial stability issues including strategic, microprudential and macrofinancial policy formulations as well as crisis management policies for the Malaysian financial system. She currently heads capacity building and training efforts of the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS).

Madelena holds a degree in Economics, majoring in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.

Farina is the Head of Communications at Capital Markets Malaysia (CMM), an affiliate of the Securities Commission Malaysia focused on promoting Malaysia’s capital market both locally and internationally.

With over 18 years of experience in brand management, marketing communication, and stakeholder engagement at both local and regional levels, she joined CMM in 2020. In her role, she leads brand and communication strategies in areas such as sustainable finance, private markets, digital markets, and the Islamic capital market.

Haris Abdul Rahim is a seasoned insurance professional with over 25 years of experience spanning underwriting, business development, strategic planning, product innovation, and marketing. As Vice President of Products at Generali Insurance Malaysia, he has played a key role in creating insurance solutions that are practical, inclusive, and built around real customer needs.

His work increasingly focuses on building resilience and driving innovation insurance propositions, particularly for vulnerable and underserved segments such as SMEs. Haris has championed initiatives that integrate risk awareness into product design, including enhanced lifestyle and commercial insurance offerings that support adaptation and sustainability.

Haris combines creative thinking with fresh ideas to solve problems and create better solutions. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Business Management and a Bachelor’s in Management Science. He is passionate about shaping the future of insurance through meaningful customer insights and strategic execution.

Moreen is currently the Chief Sustainability Officer as well as an Executive Director at United Overseas Bank Malaysia (UOBM). She is primarily responsible for the integration of sustainability into the bank’s governance, strategy, risk management, disclosures as well as key policies. Under her leadership, the bank embraces sustainability progressively from maintaining carbon neutrality for own operational emissions, inculcating sustainable procurement practices, spearheading internal capacity building to fostering well-being amongst colleagues and communities. As Chair of UOBM’s Country Sustainability Committee, Moreen ensures that all such initiatives are pursued in a synergistic and coordinated manner across the bank.

UOB is one of the earliest banks in region that has committed to Net Zero, specifically for 6 sectors within the energy and built eco-system. As CSO, Moreen engages clients with coverage team, sharing UOB’s collective sustainability capabilities in supporting our clients to transition from co-creation of sustainable supply chain program to curation of sustainability accelerator and bespoke programs.

Apart from her leadership role at UOBM, Moreen is also currently the co-chair for the JC3 (Joint Committee on Climate Change) SME Focus Group, a collective effort amongst regulators, bankers, insurance providers and relevant ministries to raise the country’s SME awareness and adoption of ESG. Under her co-stewardship with BNM, the SFG has successfully launched the ESG Jumpstart Portal, a one-stop information portal that provides SMEs with a simple and practical ESG reference guide. The SFG with various ecosystem partners, have also conducted series of capacity building sessions for SMEs and continuously explore collaboration opportunities to ease SME’s ESG transition.

Having worked for international management consulting firms, regulator, and banks throughout her extensive career, she has amassed in-depth knowledge that cuts across sustainability, corporate planning, business strategy development and implementation, mergers and acquisitions, large scale transformational and change management projects.

Ms. Ng Wei Wei was appointed to the Board as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of UOB Malaysia on 1 May 2022. She is the first female to lead the Bank in its 74-year history.

A Chartered Banker with extensive regional experience at international financial institutions across Asia, Ms. Ng has led a bold transformation of UOB Malaysia, strengthening its position in regional connectivity, sustainability, and digitalisation. She actively spearheads initiatives to facilitate foreign direct investment and to advance Malaysia’s green agenda.

In 2023, Ms. Ng launched the bank’s flagship CSR initiative with SOLS Foundation, bringing solar energy to off-grid Orang Asli communities and equipping B40 youths with vocational skills in solar installation. She also established UOB Malaysia’s first Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee, fostering a more inclusive workplace culture.

Ms. Ng’s visionary leadership has received regional recognition. In 2025, she received the ASEAN Woman Banker Lifetime Achievement Award and was named one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in Asia. She was also honoured as CEO Champion (International Organisation category) at TalentCorp’s Life At Work Awards, recognising her commitment to inclusive and sustainable business practices, leadership that empowers people, strengthens culture, and uplifts communities beyond UOB.

Ms. Ng is a Chartered Banker of Chartered Banker Institute, United Kingdom and the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a double major in Accounting and Management from Monash University of Melbourne, Australia. She sits on the Council of The Association of Banks in Malaysia and the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers.
